2 Day Boroughbridge to York Canoe Trip

Our Boroughbridge to York Canoe Trip is a ‘once in a lifetime’ Adventure! Starting from Boroughbridge, we will journey for two days down the River Ure, passing through wonderful Yorkshire landscapes, ending our Journey at the City of York

Day 1

Our journey will start in Boroughbridge, where you can leave your cars and pack your kit into your two/three person Canadian Canoe. After getting kitted up and a brief from your instructor, it's onto the water and the adventure begins!

Our first day will take us through stunning landscapes and river sections, early on, the River Ure and the Swale merge, continuing on as the River Ouse. Not long after it will be time for a lunch stop and a leg stretch. Further on our journey we will reach Linton-on-Ouse Campsite where we will spend our first night.

In true Adventure style, we will unload our boats and erect our 2/3 man tents in our chosen spot by the river. For those wanting the full ‘Wild’ experience, we can carry with us cooking equipment and cook our dinner by the side of the River. Alternatively we can make the most of the onsite Pub for our evening meal and morning Breakfast.

Day 2

After Breakfast and taking down the tents, we will load our kit into the Canoes and begin our 2^nd day journey between Linton-on-Ouse. After our lunch on this day the scenery will begin to change, we will start to join the busy sections of the York waterways and paddle alongside the river barges, cruisers and rowing boats. A gentle paddle through the city will soon see us at our finish where we will be met and taken back to your vehicles in Boroughbridge – after a celebratory riverside beer of course!

This whole experience is truly remarkable, can you image in two days you; Canoe, camp, cook alfresco, forage, take a swim, spot Kingfishers, Otters, Herons to name but a few, explore York, and to finish, celebrate with a beer.

An ideal trip for; Small groups of Friends, Stag/Hens groups.
