If you fancy taking a shot at archery for a fun-packed day out, then you can happily do so at any of our activity centres across Yorkshire. Whether you’re a complete beginner or are returning to improve your aim, our fully trained instructors will be with you throughout your archery experience to hand out advice as well as arrows.
During your archery activity you’ll gain a great understanding of your very own bow and arrows, and will learn fun facts about this increasingly popular sport. From crossbows to longbows, you’ll learn all you need to know about mastering this medieval method of mirth.
Whilst archery was, of course, originally used to defend castles and to hunt for prey, you’ll have to settle for defending your honour and hunting for competitive wins, as our instructors take you through a whole host of fun archery based games and challenges.

What To Expect on Archery Day
Are you ready for the best Archery Experience Yorkshire has to offer?
After booking York Archery you will receive a confirmation email with all the details on how to find us and where to park. We have plenty of parking onsite.
We ask that you arrive around 15 minutes before your session. On arrival, you’ll be asked to fill out a quick disclaimer and then be introduced to your instructor. They’ll give you a quick brief on what to expect and how the session will run.
It’s then time to head to the Archery range. If you’re at our Leeds / York location you’ll find the range in our beautiful woodland setting. If you’re at our Harrogate location you’ll be next to the stunning Ripley Lake, both amazing ranges.
We’ll start by showing you how to safely load and shoot the arrows, once mastered we will play a variety of games. These include; Outside In, Capture the Princess, Pin the Tail on the Donkey and Pop / Don’t Pop the balloon.
