Ripon To Boroughbridge Kayak Trip
The Ripon To Boroughbridge Kayak Trip is a ‘must-do’ trip if you are visiting North Yorkshire or you live nearby and have always wanted to see the wonders from the River Ure.
The full River Ure runs from Wensleydale in the Yorkshire Dales, 74 miles until it joins the River Ouse, it then venturous a further 52 miles until it reaches the Humber Estuary and out into the North Sea. For our Adventure Kayak Trip we will take you on the section running between the City of Ripon through to Boroughbridge. Our full journey is 7 miles long and will roughly take 5-6 hours.
Your day will start in Boroughbridge, from here a taxi/minibus will transport you to the start of our journey in Ripon. In Ripon you will be fitted to a Kayak and given a safety brief, it's then time to get on the water and begin our downstream adventure!
Along the way, we will kayak through a whole variety of landscapes, including the spectacular Newby Hall, we will also hopefully catch sights of the wildlife, including Kingfishers and Otters. Part way through our journey we will hitch up our Kayaks, stretch our legs and have a well-earned lunch. Post lunch the river widens and meanders all the way back to Boroughbridge and your personal transport home.
