Experience Rock Climbing in the Yorkshire Dales
This is the perfect activity for all abilities and ages. Let us guide you safely through the basics to experience the fun of rock climbing at its very best.
You will progress quickly and gain knowledge, skills and experience.
Learn the basic techniques of belaying and rope management, and see how we make it safe for everyone.
Some time will be spent bouldering, no ropes just learning to move, low level and close to the floor we will cover spotting techniques and choosing the right climbs to take.
You will climb on a safety rope so if you slip, you're completely safe. We will introduce you to belaying so that you can experience working together and the trust that builds.
You can experience abseiling, which is a technique for descending cliff faces using the ropes and sliding down.
Your climbing session will begin with; getting kitted out in the appropriate safety equipment, a brief from your instructor and we will start with some warm up activity on the boulders and low level terrain.

This includes your harness, helmet and any ropes and safety equipment required. If you have your own kit then please feel free to bring it along to use on the day and if you don't have climbing shoes, just bring some sturdy shoes / trainers.
All of our equipment is inspected and maintained on a regular basis for your peace of mind and comfort during your climbing experience. If at any point you feel uncomfortable or unsafe in any way, our instructors will be on hand to support you. We also run a challenge by choice policy which means you will never feel pressured by our team to do something you feel uncomfortable with.
